Our Commitment

The Anonymous Artists of  India

Yellow banarasi

On one hand, Karukosh is committed to bringing the artistic creations of Indian weavers from far and wide. On the other hand, it is dedicated to offering the finest experience of wearing ethnic wear—from luxurious festive ensembles to elegant semi-festive and casual pieces—to all our ethnic fashion lovers.

Karukosh supports and uplifts traditional craftsmen, ensuring their skills and talents are recognized and appreciated. We will continuously strive to bring those weavers and artisans into the limelight whose traditional wonders are facing the verge of extinction.

Be it handloom weaving, intricate embroidery, delicate tie and dye, heritage block printing, or thread work detailing, our goal is to include them all.

Whether due to the lack of skilled artisans or the current generation being the last trained in these time-honoured techniques, Karukosh will try to bring back those crafts before India loses them forever.

Our ethnic wear enthusiast friends can reach out to us through email or social media, if they need to let us know about any concerns or demands. If you want to see a particular type of festive outfit or craft in our collection, or just want to talk to us, please feel free to drop a few lines. We will try our best to incorporate your suggestions into our journey.

We call these weavers and craftsmen the ‘anonymous fashion designers of India’. From geometric patterns to historic events, they weave, print, and embroider them all onto the fabric with astonishing precision and care. Every single design we see is a creation of their intellect and artistry.

We are grateful to our ethnic wear-loving community for supporting this ancient craft—by purchasing and proudly wearing these magnificent creations.
